MANILA – Tagaytay-Tol downed Pangasinan-Solar Home, 81-77, Sunday night to complete the semifinal cast in the 2025 Women’s Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League at the Enderun Gym.
Monique del Carmen delivered 18 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Patriots, who will face the San Juan-DN Steel Lady Knights on Oct. 19.
Ara Abaca scored five straight points as Pangasinan-Solar Home moved to within 77-79, with seven seconds left. But Stefanie Berberabe sank both free throws to seal the win.
Berberabe finished with 16 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and five steals, while Luisa San Juan and Justine Domingo chipped in 12 points each. Bernice Paraiso had 10 points.
“Pangasinan is really strong so we prepared for them. We really prepared their main guys, we really worked hard for this game,” said Tagaytay-Tol head coach Tito Reyes.
Gabi Bade led Pangasinan-Solar Home with 21 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while Abaca had 20 points and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Discovery-Rizal demolished RK Hoops-Quezon City, 90-54, to forge a semifinal showdown with New Zealand Bluefire-Batangas. (PNA)
